About this experience
A private fishing trip is a relaxed, hands-on way to spend a morning or afternoon at sea in Gran Canaria. The boat is for your group only, and the day is shaped around you: no rush, no strangers, and a crew whose job is to help you fish, whether it is your first time holding a rod or you have been fishing for years.
We sail along the south-west coast of Gran Canaria, and the geography is on your side. Off this coast the sea floor drops away steeply only a few miles out, so deep blue water is a short ride from the harbour. That means you can head out, fish and be back the same day without spending half of it getting to the fishing grounds. The same coast is sheltered from the trade winds by the island, so the sea is usually more manageable here than on the north or east.
We provide all the fishing gear: rods, tackle and basic bait. On board you have a professional skipper and an assistant who guide and help you throughout, from rigging the line to handling the rod when something bites. Beginners are genuinely welcome; experienced anglers get a crew that knows these waters.
Trips are hired by the hour, and the most popular and recommended option is four hours, which gives you time to enjoy the sea and improves your chances. This is a quote request, not an instant booking: tell us your date, group size and how many hours you would like, and we will reply with a proposal. Nothing is charged until you accept it.

Is this a booking?
Nothing. Sending the form is a quote request, not a booking: there is no charge and no place is held. We reply with a tailored proposal, and only if you accept it do we confirm the date and explain how to pay.
Where do we meet?
We sail from the marina at Puerto de Mogán, in the south-west of Gran Canaria. The exact pontoon and time go in your confirmation once you accept the quote.
How long is the trip?
It is hired by the hour. The most popular and recommended option is four hours, but tell us what you have in mind and we will quote for it.
Do I need a fishing licence?
No. The licence required for recreational fishing from a boat is covered by the boat’s own licence, so there is no paperwork on your side.
I have never fished. Can I still come?
Yes. The skipper and the assistant help you from the start, and the gear is provided.
What happens to the fish we catch?
That is decided on board with the skipper. Ask us when you request the quote if it matters to you.
How many people can come?
Tell us your group size in the request and we will confirm it in the quote.
What if the weather is bad?
Every trip depends on the sea. If the skipper decides conditions are not safe, we offer you a new date or cancel at no cost: you pay nothing until the day. We let you know by phone as soon as we know, sometimes the same morning.
